Bar R E50 is a homozygous polled wagyu cow who was sired by the heterozygous polled bull - Bar R 52Y. Bar R 52Y has become a foundation bull in Australia for the Poll Wagyu program which is a syndicated company of Mayura Station, Strathdale Wagyu, and Hammond Farms. These farms have data on over 600 carcasses which indicate 52Y to be very high as a carcass bull. Bar R 13P, the dam of E50, was sired by Bar R Takasuru 1K who was 12th for carcass weight and 18th for marbling. 13P has naturally weaned 12 registered calves already. Her most prominent female calf was Bar R 5U who sold for $34,000 in the Bar R production sale in 2016. Since E50 is a half sister to 5U and her sire and maternal grandsire have superior carcass data, this is a great cow to use in an embryo program - something we intend to do in the very near future.
